Tessera

Your information

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 4, 2026

Tessera is provided by Rajgopal Jakhmola (“we,” “us”). This policy describes the Android app and its optional Tessera Complete purchase. For privacy questions or requests, contact rajgopaljakhmola11@gmail.com.

A calm app without ads or an account

Tessera has no advertising and does not track you across other apps or websites for advertising. You do not need to create a Tessera account. We do not run gameplay analytics or upload your puzzle moves, favorites, or personal photos to our servers. Purchase processing uses Google Play and RevenueCat, as explained below; it is not an entirely offline service.

Puzzle progress and preferences

Tessera stores your settings, favorites, puzzle saves, completion times, daily history, and statistics in the app's local storage. These records let you resume a puzzle and see your collection. Tessera does not provide its own account-based cloud backup or progress synchronization.

The app relies on your device's storage protections. Local app records are not separately encrypted by Tessera. Your device's operating system may back up or transfer app data, including photo copies, according to its backup settings. Android backup is currently allowed. Those system services are controlled by you and the operating-system provider, rather than a Tessera upload feature.

Your photos

Adding a photo is optional. You choose an image with the system picker. Tessera decodes it on the device, center-crops it to a landscape puzzle, and saves a full-size copy and a thumbnail in its private app storage. It does not upload either image to us or to RevenueCat. Selecting a cloud-hosted image may cause your chosen photo provider to download it through the system picker.

Touch and hold a photo puzzle in Gallery, choose Delete photo, and confirm to remove its app-owned image copies and saved puzzle progress. This does not delete the original from your photo library or remove lifetime puzzle statistics. If cleanup fails, the app offers a retry.

If you choose Share picture after completing a puzzle, Tessera prepares an image and opens the system share sheet. Only the destination you select receives that image. Your chosen app or service handles it under its own privacy practices. The image includes the puzzle picture, title, piece count, and completion time, so sharing a personal photo puzzle also shares that photo.

Purchases and restoration

Google Play processes the optional one-time Tessera Complete payment using your Google account. Tessera does not receive your payment card number. RevenueCat helps validate the purchase and determine whether Complete is active, including when you restore a purchase or a transaction is refunded.

In a build with billing configured, Tessera contacts RevenueCat when it starts, when it returns to the foreground, when the Complete sheet opens, and during purchase or restore. This can happen before you buy anything. RevenueCat uses an automatically generated app user identifier, purchase tokens and transaction history, entitlement status, and technical information such as app/SDK and operating-system versions, locale/currency, and last-seen activity. Servers also receive network information when contacted. These records support billing, restoration, purchase reporting, and service operation. They do not include your puzzle images or gameplay history. RevenueCat's end-user data practices, anonymous app user identifiers

Tessera does not send RevenueCat your name, email address, or photo library, and does not configure advertising attribution integrations. Optional SDK diagnostics and automatic advertising identifier collection are disabled. Purchase-related reporting is distinct from tracking your gameplay or using your information to target ads. Google's handling of your store account and payment is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

RevenueCat processes purchase information on our behalf; Google operates the store and payment service. Purchase data is transmitted over encrypted connections and may be processed outside your country, including in the United States. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

Keeping and deleting data

Local records remain until you remove them or clear the app's storage. Reset profile in Settings resets profile records and preferences; it does not erase the separate gameplay save storage or photo files. To erase all Tessera data on the device, use Android's app settings to clear Tessera's storage. Uninstalling removes the app's local storage, but operating-system backups may remain or restore it. Manage those backups with your device provider.

Deleting local data does not cancel a purchase or erase the store's transaction records. Purchase-service records are retained as needed to validate and restore your permanent unlock, operate the service, handle disputes, and meet applicable legal requirements. Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of purchase-related information held on our behalf. We may need limited information to locate and verify the transaction; do not send payment card details or private photos. We will explain if a record must be retained. Google controls deletion and retention of its store records under its own policies. A later restore can recreate information needed to provide your purchased access.

Children and support

Tessera does not ask players for their age or collect a child's name or contact details in the app. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through a support request, contact the privacy address above so we can review and remove information as appropriate.

If you email us, we receive the address and information you choose to include and use them to answer your request. You can play without contacting support.

Changes

We may update this policy if the app or its data practices change. The published policy will show the effective date. We will provide additional notice where required.
